In 1989, Newcastle experienced an intraplate earthquake that damaged many homes in the region. Local family man, Peter Sharman, who was a qualified builder at the time, found himself visiting an incredible number of homes that were sadly affected by the earthquake. All these homes needed work from the ground up, meaning that the most important area to focus on first were the piers as this is what structurally supports the rest of the home. During this time, Peter decided that he would continue in this field of the building industry, helping homeowners in all foundation repairs from repiering, levelling, underpinning and more.

Peter’s son, Austin, started working in the company when he was just 16 years old. After many years of experience specialising in this field, Austin made the decision to carry his father’s legacy and start his own building firm where he is now a fully qualified master builder himself with an abundance of knowledge and understanding in this niche industry.
